Gloom Wolves are one of the main beasties in the game. Wolves are slightly tougher to fight taking 5 hits to destroy compared to rats which take 3.
They are commonly found in pairs and often appear on your land after periods away. They also commonly appear after you harvest animals, or tend flowers.
They can be summoned with a Gloom Wolf Potion. They drop Wolf Pelts when they die sometimes.
